For almost 30 years the residents of Dyker Heights have been putting on a holiday lights display which runs through the first weekend of January. Houses are decorated from top to bottom in amazing holiday themes showcasing every kind of holiday decoration imaginable including motorized displays, larger than life Santas, and seasonal music. This is truly a Winter Wonderland and not just for children. Loved by locals as well as residents from the 5 borough area, this is a must see at this time of year. Some houses are done by professionals and others done for the sheer love of the season and it is said that a rivalry exists between various homeowners.
